On the weekend of the 12th of March, Akershus Red Cross Youth organised a Youth weekend. We got together with the different volunteers from Akershus district on Friday evening and left for the Cabin in the woods.

It was a fun packed weekend with lots of games and it was so nice to interact with the youths because i had not seen some of them in a long time and we also had some new members or interested members so it was nice to show them what Red Cross Youth is all about.

We also had two courses about Active choice and Leadership and these were very interesting, educative and informative.
brain storming with my guys
During the courses we had some debates, discussion, mock presentations and we did a lot of brain-storming about different issues and scenarios.
By the end of the weekend, we had learned a lot about the Red Cross, made new friends, eaten good food and had an awesome time. It was a wonderful weekend and kudos to everybody that made it a success.
Kenneth is a young, male Rwandese Redcross volunteer. Back in my home country Rwanda i work for the largest telecommunications company in Africa MTN in the customer operations department. When am not all taken up in the IT(information technology) world and providing the best customer care i can, i am doing Red Cross volunteer work with the Rwanda Redcross Youth, which is something i am so passionate about. I am worked as a Redcross Youth delegate in Norway as part of the youth delegate program and i totally loved it!!
